The Arrival of Jude | 27th January 2022
We added our first ever Connemara pony to the Carrafarm family before Christmas. It was quite an experience picking him at Clifden Pony Sales, Jude has proven to be a real sweetheart and has settled right in. He is a 2021 colt foal by Black Shadow, who we have always admired and out of the Dunally Lad mare Carn Lily.
Joy Schooled by James O’Haire

We were thrilled to get the opportunity to have our Traditional Irish Horse mare Carrafarm Light Years (Joy) schooled for 6 weeks by top event rider James O’Haire on the HSI Schooling grant. James did an amazing job with her and she came on in leaps and bounds every week and we can’t wait to produce her on in the Spring before she goes back in foal. It’s great to have this evidence of her talent and trainability. Joy is a 75% TB year old mare by Barely a Moment xx ex Thornfield Gwynne (Cruising). Her damline is rich in performance and includes 4* eventers Cruising Guy & Cooley Stormwater & Hugh Knows and numerous 1.30-1.60m showjumpers.
Georgie is Reserve TIH Eventing Foal 5th October 2021
Carrafarm Better Together (Georgie) received Reserve Traditional Irish Horse Eventing foal at the HSI Foal Championship Qualifiers at Greenogue. We are so excited to see how this gorgeous boy turns out in the future. Georgie is by purpose bred Eventing TB Templar Spirit (Hand in Glove x Templar Quito) and out of our Performance Irish Draught and showing mare Pagestown Harmony ID (Crosstown Dancer x Liskillen Harmony).
Ainninn Arabella Wins Her Second Ever
One-Day Event | 27th September 2021
Ainninn Arabella (Bella) won her second ever One Day Event at the Killossery Eventing Championship Final, with a 28 dressage and double clear. This super mare has it all - beauty, a gorgeous temperament and lots of talent She is a 4 year old ID x KWPN and proves what a super cross this can be.
Bella is by Lionwood Kinsale’s Lad out of Vrench Gomery K (Concorde).
April and Georgie at Laois Branch Show
7th July 2021
Our April, (Pagestown Harmony x Crosstown Dancer x Pride of Glenogra) with her colt foal Georgie (by Templar Spirit x Hand In Glove) at the IDHBA Laois Branch annual show on Sunday at Stradbally Hall. This was Georgie's first time off the farm and took it all in his stride, he has his mammy's laid back attitude to showing! Lovely photo by John O’Carroll.
Stella Takes 3rd at Laois Branch Show

Very proud of Carrafarm Constellations (Stella) 2yo filly by Lionwood Kinsale’s Lad x A Sky Full Of Stars x Star Kingdom taking 3rd place in the 2yo Draught Colt, Geldings & Fillies class at the IDHBA Laois Branch Show on Sunday. Stacy In Her New Home| 13th March 2021
Our first born Stacy aka Carrafarm City of Stars in her new home across the water. We are so thrilled to see her going so well and so well loved. As breeders, this is all that really matters.
