Pagestown Harmony | April

Our first purebred Irish Draught mare, April has been a prolific winner in hand and under saddle. She is a 2012 mare by Crosstown Dancer ex Liskillen Harmony (Pride of Glenogra). She was awarded her Class 1 status as a 3 year old with Bronze merit for both Conformation and Movement, and also for Athleticism. April is correct mare with superb movement and freedom of the shoulder. She has won numerous championships in hand and was IDHBA Mare of the Future in 2016. Under saddle she won Irish Draught Performance classes at both Balmoral and Northern Ireland Festival as a 4/5 year old. She also qualified for the Dublin Horse Show Performance Irish Draught Class as a 4 year old and jumped around with great bravery over a strong track. She achieved a bronze merit for Dressage as a 4/5 year old. April’s 1/2 brother The Comedian was Champion Cob at Horse Of The Year Show in 2013 and her full brother Pagestown Principal has been shown successfully as a heavyweight hunter in the UK, including qualifying for HOYS 2021.

April had her first foal in 2019. Carrafarm Perfect 10 ('Nina') is a bay filly by Double Gold merit sire Lionwood Kinsales Lad. In 2021 she had a smart bay colt Carrafarm Better Together (‘Georgie’) by Templar Spirit TB.

April is back in foal to Lionwood Kinsales Lad for 2022.

Carrafarm Light Years | Joy

Joy is a 2016 mare by Thoroughbred sire Barely A Moment ex Thornfield Gwynne (by Cruising). She is a full Traditional Irish Horse (TIH) with no warmblood breeding in her pedigree. She has it all - correct conformation, lovely movement, intelligent, kind temperament, athleticism and superb bloodlines. She has 74% Thoroughbred blood and her damline is rich with performers. Her half brother Cruising Guy (x Loughahoe Guy) is currently eventing at 3* - he also won a $20,000 Indoor Eventing Challenge in Toronto 2016 with Michael Jung. Her dam is a full sister to Thornfield Camille who showjumped to 1.20m and bred Over Lux who jumped 1.40m. Another full sister to her dam bred two 1.40/1.50m horses. Her second dam Lupez was a full sister to the 4* Eventer Hugh Knows. We broke her and schooled her throughout summer 2020 but unfortunately she had no ridden show season 2020 due to Covid-19 restrictions. We sadly lost Joy’s first foal, a colt by Templar Spirit. She spent schooling with 6 weeks with 4* Event rider James O’Haire on the HSI Schooling Scheme in Autumn 2021, who thought a lot of her and thought that she would make an International Event Mare if she was further produced. Joy will compete in Spring 2022 before going back in foal for 2023.
